On your arrival at the Srinagar Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jhelum River, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. check-in the Hotel Dinner and Overnight in Hotel.
After breakfast Drive to Sonamarg, and full day excursion of Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. Sonmarg, also called Meadow of Gold, is located at a height of 2690 meters. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Return to the hotel by evening for overnight stay.
After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesque market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. We arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and will begin a short tour around the meadow to familiarize ourselves with the beauty. In Gulmarg we will board the Gondola cable car system (Paying directly), and ascend towards the Affarwat Mountain range. The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Afarwat peak. From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour or so and later do some horse-riding to the strawberry valley. overnight stay in Hotel.
We will begin our trip towards Pahalgam and drive on National Highway 1A. This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country. We drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvelous ruins of Avantipur and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the breadbasket of Kashmir. You can even sample a few exotic breads sold by vendors near the road. We switch the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder river flowing from the opposite direction. In Pahalgam we check in at the hotel and later do some nature walks to unwind ourselves. You can also opt to spend your half a day of sightseeing by driving (Directly paying) to the picturesque Chandanwari and Betaab valley or ride by horseback (Directly Paying) across the wildlife sanctuary towards Baisaran meadows. night at the Pahalgam hotel.
Full day in Pahalgam to explore the natural surroundings. One can hire a pony to visit Baisaran , Kashmir valley, Daban . . Evening enjoy your Shikara Ride on the famous Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city, which is often compared to Venice. You will get a lovely view of some interesting places around the lake. Overnight stay in Hotel.
Today we will do some half a day of local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens, Tulip Garden of Nishat and Shalimar. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. Come back to the hotel . Dinner & overnight stay at Houseboat .
Proceed to Doodh-e-pathri is yet another bowl shaped valley about 42 kms from Srinagar. It is a recent discovery in the valley covered with the green carpeted mead ows. A flowing river resounds with soft wind passing through the pine trees of the enclosures of the valley. It is also called as a “VALLEY OF MILK” because it produces rich milk in a large quantity.Later on drive to yusmarg is an enjoyment in itself. Grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop of splendid snow capped mountains leave you almost speechless.Evening back to Srinagar.Overnight at Srinagar Hotel.
After Breakfast, proceed for an excursion tour to Yusmarg. Yusmarg is a small meadow set in the heart of mountains to the south-west of Srinagar. It is an ideal picnic spot and the Nilnag Lake can be visited from here. A two hour drive from Srinagar (47 kms ) will take you to acres upon acres of grassy meadow ringed by forests of pine, and towering beyond them, awesome and majestic snow clad mountains.
